World Tsunami Awareness Day
Indian National Center for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) in collaboration with NDMA & OSDMA organized a webinar on “Tsunami Awareness & Preparedness” on the occasion of World Tsunami Awareness Day (WTAD) on 5th November, 2020. Addl. Chief Secretary and Managing Director, OSDMA delivered a talk on “Implementation of Tsunami Ready in Odisha” in this webinar. Dr. T. Srinivas Kumar, Director, INCOIS and Shri G.V.V. Sharma, Member Secretary, NDMA have also delivered talk on this occasion. Disaster management officials and general public of the coastal states participated in the webinar. In Odisha, Officers from OSDMA, SRC; Collectors, ADMs, Dist. Emergency Officers, DPOs of six coastal districts; BDOs of 22 coastal blocks and community members from coastal villages participated in the webinar.
