OSDMA Signs MoUs with UNDP and CivicDataLab to Strengthen Risk-Informed and Data-Driven Disaster Risk Reduction in Odisha

The Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 2nd September 2026 to strengthen risk-informed and data-driven disaster risk reduction in Odisha, in the presence of Hon’ble Revenue & Disaster Management Minister of Govt of Odisha Shri Suresh Pujari.
The partnership aims to strengthen the assessment and understanding of hazards, risks and vulnerabilities across the State through systematic, evidence-based and data-driven approaches.

The partnership seeks to promote the effective use of data, technology and evidence in disaster risk management and decision-making. It will support innovative approaches to improve the availability, accessibility and use of relevant risk information for disaster preparedness, mitigation and resilience.
